Now, we have another mod to add to the list of 'fan-made changes that make Fallout 4' brilliant, and it comes in the form of an amazing overhaul mod from GingasVR: which turns the game into an intense hardcore survival experience. Even to date, mods can turn this game from a bit of a disappointment to an absolutely exceptional VR experience. Now, it's essentially a competent VR port of a pretty fantastic game.īut there's a reason I say 'competent' and not 'brilliant'. Since then, it has come quite a long way. It was pretty problematic and it required an exceptional amount of tweaking (or, rather, optimising) to be even vaguely enjoyable. It also turns the NPCs into something other than sitting ducks. However, the mod also makes the game more like an immersive survival experience: removing the compass, VATS and the HUD.

If the game works after a clean install, I’ll leave a list of the mods so anyone still curious how it broke can check it out, maybe someone else will have the same issue with the same mods and can use it as reference. I’m reinstalling the game to see if that fixes it, I already tried deleting the mods but no luck. Even the loading screen had an issue where the vault tech logo went faster than normal. I hold W to walk from one side of the room to the other, my character’s arms are flailing as their running animation runs but it feels like their sprinting alongside everyone else. Get to the SPECIAL allocation screen, all the vault boys are rushing through their animations faster than I can process. I try to navigate the menu, the cursor blinks through multiple options and it’s pretty much roulette if I’ll land on the option I wanted. When playing Fallout 4 with a few mods and F4SE on my Shadow the game ran too fast, like CPU cycles or something were faster than the Frame Rate.
